National Collection Week November 15th-22nd

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization.

Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Operation Christmas Child ships these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.

This boy from the Philippines heard the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ when he received his shoebox gift.

Every year, National Collection Week takes place the third week in November when over 4,000 drop-off locations are open across the country. You can check their Drop-Off Page frequently prior to National Collection Week for any additions or updates to the drop-off locations.

Samaritan’s Purse plans to bring gift-filled shoeboxes to children on 1,000 Pacific islands over the next five years.
